Chicago was founded in the early 1800s and served as a link between the developed east coast and the expansion of Wild West. On the shores of Lake Michigan, the development of housing estates and skyscrapers was low but persistent. Despite the devastating fires of 1871 in a land of Chicago, he returned again and this time took the pace of growth in each decade. In 1900, this crossed the mark of two million people.
Chicago is the third largest U.S. city near the city of New York and Los Angeles, California. Not only is the third largest U.S. city, Chicago is also among the world leaders in industry and transport centers.
Based on what I read, Chicago is nicknamed the city winds for different reasons. The first reason is that the Mayor of Chicago boasted so much on Chicago hosting the worlds fair, which means that the mayor was windy. Another reason is that politicians in Chicago are full of hot air, therefore, involves the Windy City. The last reason is that the editor of a newspaper trying to promote Chicago as a summer resort and used in Lake Michigan, the summer breeze as a point of sale. I do not know what the reasons above gave Chicago its nickname of the city of wind, but all seem to make sense to me.
Chicago is also famous for its schools of fine arts and museums, good food and jazz music. If you have an appetite for the sport, is the legendary Chicago Bulls, Bears and Cubs, who are well known throughout the world.
Chicago is a wonderful place to visit. The fever of Chicago will be impressed.
